  • Background Notes is a service of the US State Department, Background Notes provides good historical information about most countries in the world.
  • Decades is an interesting look at the United States through the 20th century created by Lone Star College.
  • Digital Librarian History is a great place to start any history search.
  • Discoverers' Web is a huge portal for sites related to discovery in all areas of the world.
  • EcEdWeb is the Economics Education Web maintained by the Economics Department at the University of Nebraska, Omaha.  This site is a comprehensive economic education site for K-12 teachers.
  • EpistemeLinks is a comprehensive look at philosophy.
  • Geography World is an extensive  collection of links from Brad Bowerman, a geography teacher in Jermyn, Pennsylvania.
  • History Channel provides a topic search of historical concepts and terms.
  • Nebraska State Council for the Social Studies provides extensive links to social studies resources. This site is maintained by Dennis Boals.
  • Lesson Plans and Teaching Strategies for Social Studies Teachers is a comprehensive site with links to lesson plans, activities and current events.  This site is maintained by Dr. Marty Levine, Professor Emeritus of Secondary Education, California State University, Northridge.
  • The History Place is founded and owned by Philip Gavin.  It contains links to a variety of quality resources.
  • History Guide has been constructed by Steven Kreis and is designed to assist the high school and college history student.
  • Hyperhistory presents 3,000 years of world history with a combination of colorful graphics, lifelines, timelines and maps.
